Scooter Accident

This happened a little over a month ago but we had to let a little time pass before we published it for Emmelyne's sake. When we asked if we could take a picture of her she said," only if you don't put it on the blog". I guess that little girls can have some vanity in them also. She ran her face into a cinderblock wall while on her scooter. When she and Brigham came in from the barn and she was all bloody the first words out of her mouth were, " Mom, Brigham didn't do it." I should hope not. The picture does not do it justice at how bad it looked and how swollen she was. There was so much blood and her poor little nose with VERY crooked but as the swelling went down we decided that it was just crooked from that and not because it was broken. She was very nervous to go to school the next day for fear of what the kids might say but we fixed her up with some foundation and powder and even if it really didn't help it made her feel better. The real bummer was that she had her Christmas dance recital 2 days later! Oh well. It is amazing how quickly kids can heal. What was your best accident as a kid that you still tell? ( Mine is that I got a pencil jammed in the palm of my hand in kindergarten and I still have the tip of the pencil in my palm - Can you say lead poisoning?)

Oh Emmalyne, What a bummer!!! I'm glad that your brother didn't do it!
I would have to say that my worst injury as a child was when I was riding a horse bareback and ended up sliding underneath his galloping feet. I couldn't walk or do any daily "functions" on my own. Emmelyne, don't feel too bad! When I was a young teen I had a bike accident and had to go to Jr. High with a scraped up face! Love ya,
Aunt Angel
Oh yeouch! Her little lip is so swollen. Did she wind up with a black eye?
My worst injury was walking too closely behind a horse and getting kicked in the face. That or when my Nana slammed my arm in the table. She was putting the sides up and caught my forearm in it. Ripped a good chunk of skin right off.
oh Emmelyne, that looks like it hurt! You know Brigham probably said,
"Tell mom I didn't do it!"
I don't remember getting hurt when I was younger, I think I blocked all that out!
I can't tell you just one thing there were much to many accidents!! My nickname was 'crash'
Poor Emme sorry your mommy put it on the blog anyway...
