I am trying to get some of the pictures taken of my favorite recipes. Here is a salsa recipe that I have been making for years. It is my friend Debbie Johnson's own creation. I think that our families must have made this a hundred times one summer. The great thing about this recipe is that you do not have to have amazing home grown tomatoes for this to be great. This salsa has fresh chunks of onion and tomatoes in it but it also has blended up canned tomatoes. Even though you will not catch my kids eating a regular tomato they slurp this one up like nobody's business. Tell me how you like it.

Debbie's Salsa
1 yellow onion, finely chopped
5 tomatoes, chopped

In a blender add:
1/2 cup fresh cilantro
1 TBSP salt
2 cans Italian stewed tomatoes
1 lime, all the juice
2 tsp cumin
2 TBSP olive oil
20-30 dashes of Tabasco sauce

Blend and add add to the chopped tomatoes and onions. The fresh tomatoes and onions DO NOT GET BLENDED, just stirred into the mixture.

Two questions...is this the yummy salsa we had the last time we were together? And did I show you Tyler's cousin's cute photo recipe layout?
Talk to you soon!
