Soccer is here again

Well we survived our first Saturday of soccer. Our games were at 10:00, 10:15, and 11:00! And the 10:15 game was running 45 minutes late. Charles is coaching 2 of the teams so you can imagine that it was CRAZY. Let's just say that the reason why I only have pictures of one of our little players is because that was the only game that I saw with everything being so backed up. Thank goodness for grandparents who do not mind (and even enjoy) sitting through and driving around Super Soccer Saturday.
Charles was not able to be there at the beginning of Emmelyne's game, and because it was their first game, he put her in at goalie. He knew he needed someone who could focus and would not be afraid of the ball. She did great - only 1 goal scored on her. She was all over that field. At the end of the game one of her teammates came up to her and told her that she was the very best player on their team. I think that she almost the smallest too. I do not think that her smile could have gotten any bigger. Besides, at this age, it is all about the snack anyway. Yummy watermelon!!!
