"We really like the peaches and we shake our trees!"- The Steve Miller Band (sort of)

We have been harvesting some of our peach trees. A lot of the peaches were already picked before we even got here. But there are some left on the trees. We spent Saturday morning picking two trees. They are amazing! Nothing like the store - not even Raley's and Bel Air. Brooklyn was in the trees handing me the fruit that I could not get to with the picker.

We also "shook" one of the almond trees that we have. It is quite a workout. We put tarps down and Charles would shake the branches as hard as he could and then it would rain almonds. The kids and I would sit below and sort through the almonds. We would peel the stuff off the shell and now they will sit and dry out for a week or so. (I am sure that there is a more technical term for "stuff")
