In September, Brooklyn & I went on an overnight backpacking trip with our friends the Smiths. I love the above picture!

Yes, that is the moon. Yes, this picture was taken while we were still on the trail. Yes, that means we were hiking by moonlight. Sorry, twilight fans, there were no vampires.
While I'm here I'd like to share 3 great things about Brooklyn:
- She likes to pretend that her dad embarasses her
- She's very excited about turning 12 soon (although she's sad to leave Primary at Church)
- She's still my little girl (even though she grew 3/4 of an inch in the last two months and is now 5'2")

I guess it's ok that you are hanging out with the Smith family. You do understand, though, that they are officially OUR best friends, right? I give you permission to spend time with them as long as you understand that they are OUR best friends!

It's crazy to think that Haley and Brooklyn are so old! Brookie is wayyyy taller than Haley, though! :)
